As we walk along our spiritual journey, we enjoy the companionship of those who walk with us: People from Minnesota, Ghana, Nigeria, Mexico, and Antigua. Children with blond hair and blue eyes play and worship next to the children of first-generation immigrants... Young and old alike, we grow in faith together... At Christ Church, we value that diversity, and we value our fellow Christians who walk with us as we grow in faith.

And how do we grow? With terrific sermons and joyful worship - which are full of poetry and prayers and, at times, joyful laughter.
With education for all ages - where our youngest marvel at the wonders of God and our oldest learn about the Bible, spirituality, and being grateful to God for all we have.
With service to others - like the Twin Cities children who receive school supplies from our parish members, or the children in orphanages overseas who receive meals we've packaged at Feed My Starving Children.
With our sense of community - as we gather together for a community meal on the first and third Wednesday, go on hayrides or simply gather together for smores at our church fire pit.
With the support of our fellow church members - as we provide meals to families who are facing illness, transport members who can no longer drive and celebrate milestones like celebrating a church member's 100th birthday or a younger member graduating from our church nursery.
Would the people who started Christ Church in St. Paul in the 1850s have believed that one of the foundational churches in Minnesota would transform into a suburban church with an incredibly diverse congregation? Probably not! But we're a testimony to the power of the Holy Spirit in the broader church. And our community enriches our lives and the lives of the people we touch. We are Christ Episcopal Church. We are a diverse community growing in faith. And we're on an incredible journey.

We are actually one of the oldest churches in Minnesota! We started in St. Paul in 1850 (with $600 of funds raised in Minnesota and a gift from Christ Church in Philadelphia), and had two other sites in St. Paul before moving to Woodbury in the 1970s. (This is a picture of acolytes at Christ Church in 1930, used with permission of the Minnesota Historical Society -- which has many other pictures of Christ Church throughout the years!) We are proud to be one of the earliest Episcopal churches in Minnesota!
We are led by a vestry made up of officers and elected members. We are part of the national Episcopal Church, as well as our statewide Episcopal Church (called our "diocese.") The Episcopal Church is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
We welcome everyone to join us!
