Vestry -- Our Parish Council
The vestry is the legal representative of the parish, with the general responsibilities of
- defining and articulating the mission of the congregation
- selecting the rector
- ensuring effective organization and planning
- managing resources and finances.
Our vestry is made up of five officers and nine elected vestry members. The officers are the rector (priest), senior warden, junior warden, treasurer and clerk. The nine vestry members are liaisons to various ministry teams in the church. Vestry meetings are generally held the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the family room at church.
Vestry members welcome any questions or comments about our parish. Our vestry wants every parish member to be empowered to spread the word of God and encourage all to worship with us, serve the community and walk on our spiritual journeys together.
The parish votes on bylaws that govern our business. Our most recent bylaws were updated in May, 2007.
